Gelatin Printing with Acrylic and Stencils
Gelatin printing is a fun, easy, and dynamic way to layer various colours onto a single sheet of paper without ever using a paint brush! Intrigued? Come and try out this inspiring (and addictive!) process to make a whole range of unique and colourful mono-prints with incredible effects. These mono-prints can work as stand-alone pieces to frame and hang; they can be turned into beautiful cards; or they can be cut up and used in other art projects, like mixed media collage.

Group Fee (2-4 people): $120 total
Location: Blue Leaf Studio, 1475 King Edward Ave. West, Vancouver BC
Supplies: $10 per person for all material costs, including various types and thicknesses of paper for experimentation

Mature young folks (10+) who are keen to join are welcome with an accompanying adult. This class is also available for teen groups (ages 13-16) or tween groups (ages 10-12) of up to 4 participants.
Mixed-Media Collage
Mixed-media collage is the practice of gluing diverse materials onto a single flat surface – usually heavy paper, cardboard, or wood panel – to make intricate and dynamic compositions. In this class, we will use mixed-media (paint, coloured paper, stamps, stencils, markers, pastels, etc.) to create our own abstract designs by layering and gluing our media on wood panel. Whether you have a particular theme in mind or want to glue indiscriminately, the world of collage is your oyster for unbridled creative expression!
